In 2009, Kisai was a Case Manager at Huckleberry’s C.A.R.C.

One of the most common ways the staff would release their stress was to process & reflect after work hours at local spots. Kisai often wondered how powerful it would be to bring other providers throughout the Bay Area together to connect more deeply, practice community care & bring UNITY to community-based work. Kisai brainstormed & thought partnered with her partner at the time, colleagues & other community members to collectively imagine Comm(UNITY).
